Special Diets

At Bosön and within Stockholm Meeting Selection, we follow a clear and well-developed special dietary policy. There are several reasons for this:

  • We want all our guests to have a wonderful dining experience—whether or not they have special dietary needs.
  • We want to ensure that no one gets sick from being served food they can't tolerate.
  • Sustainability: We believe it is important to work toward reducing food waste—which can be a greater issue when it comes to special diets.
  • We are happy to accommodate our guests' various requests—but requests beyond a certain basic level come at a cost.

As the event organizer, you decide whether you want to allow guests at the event to fully customize their meals or whether the basic option should apply.

Basic Special Diets – Included

  • 100% plant-based (commonly referred to as vegan)
  • Lacto-ovo-vegetarian (commonly referred to as vegetarian)
  • Special medical diets (food allergies) such as gluten, milk, etc. (a total of 14 allergens, as listed by the Swedish Food Agency)
  • Culturally specific dietary preferences (food choices based on region or culture), e.g., pork—usually replaced with a vegetarian diet
  • Pregnancy Diet

Special Meals (Extra) – Additional charges may apply

The following special meal plans are subject to a 50% surcharge on the cost of the meals consumed—provided the customer approves such a special meal plan (if the menu needs to be adjusted for those individuals).

  • Allergies other than the 14 allergens
  • Personal preferences and lifestyle diets (e.g., LCHF, GI, Keto)
  • Complex allergies, such as those to onions, and multiple allergies

Any discrepancies from pre-ordered meal plans will be charged to the customer.

Information About Special Dietary Needs – Important to Know Before Your Visit

In order for us to provide the right meals for all participants, we need to receive special dietary requests no later than 7 days before the event.

If a different template is used, or if the list is submitted late, an administrative fee of 1,000 SEK will be charged.

We always strive to be flexible and provide the best possible service. However, in the event of late notification or changes to the special dietary requests list, we reserve the right to charge an additional fee based on the increased costs.
