Running Form Analysis

The running technique analysis with Motion Metrix offers detailed, scientifically based insights into your running economy—a crucial factor in how efficiently and sustainably you can run at different speeds. Using advanced 3D camera technology and built-in force sensors, your stride is recorded in real time, providing a complete biomechanical profile of your running form.

Important Information Before Your Visit

The test is conducted on a treadmill at speeds around your thresholds. For about 20 seconds at each speed, your running form is filmed with a 3D camera so that your stride can then be analyzed.

  • Please arrive 15 minutes before your test time to fill out our health declaration form.
  • For best results, wear form-fitting clothing.
  • Certain black (reflective) clothing may interfere with the 3D camera during gait analysis.
  • Feel free to wear your own clean running shoes—the ones you're used to. If you have different shoes for different runs, you can bring them along to see how they affect your stride.
  • Long hair should be tied in a tight knot at the nape of the neck.
  • Changing rooms and showers are available on site.
  • Please be dressed for your test.

The session lasts about 45 minutes, including warm-up and a review of the results.
