Running has quickly become Sweden’s largest mass movement. Today, major races attract as many as 500,000 participants—while new ones are springing up like wildflowers in the spring. Perhaps this isn’t so surprising, since running is one of the most effective ways to get in shape.
But did you know that most people “jog” more than they actually run? And despite persistent Training , many runners feel like they’re standing still. They’re treading the same old ground and getting stuck at the same level. This is often because their training lacks variety—which both hinders progress and increases the risk of injury.
New research shows that alternative strength training combined with sport-specific running training creates faster, stronger, and more resilient runners. The result? A new energy that permeates every aspect of a runner’s life—both on and off the track.
